Howdy,
I've been looking at a few screens lately, I'm looking to spend 1k top's preferably less but up too the product I guess. System is used for Games (PC only) and Media (more gaming though) here's my PC specs and a few displays I've considered so far, but i'd prefer suggestions seems as my choices or suggestions are based upon my little knowledge and advice. I'm really looking for something 26inch and above and obviously within my price range.

Samsung Series 4/5 32inch LA32A550
Asus 26inch VK266H
Samsung LN40A650

PC

Asus P6T Deluxe
Core i7 920
Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 Deluxe
Nvidia GTX 285

Thanks

Edit: I have no PCI slots left so perhaps a built in tuner wouldn't go astray.. but don't let that sway your advice, also obviously I'd want it to be able to handle anything (format wise) and look great (not pixelated), especially for gaming, but also for media, probably want to take advantage of my hardware as much as possible.

1k Budget!!!

Ok, maybe that all sounds a bit complicated, perhaps just recommend the best spec'd screen within my budget... low input lag, best res, etc etc

You should search the forum as this is an oft repeated question...

(I personally like TVs for their size and superior contrast ratios, however input lag might be an issue, depending on the display and how serious you are into gaming. TN's are still, AFAIK, still the input lag champs, but have the worst PQ...)

Seems as I will be using it a lot for gaming, id prefer one with minimal input lag, does it say in 'Specification' sheets? I've searched the last 4 pages with no luck so far, thanks anyways.

My toshiba 46RV535U has something called "game mode."

Here is what the manual says on it:
Using the Game Mode feature
You can use the Game Mode feature for shorter frame
delays when playing a video game requiring splitsecond
timing between the on-screen display and input
from the controller (such as music creation and highaction
games).
This feature is more effective for 480i and 1080i input
signals.
Note: To use the Game Mode feature, the current video input
must be Video 1, Video 2, ColorStream HD1,
ColorStream HD2, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, HDMI 4, or PC.
The Game Mode cannot be turned on when the ANT/CABLE
input is selected.
To turn on Game Mode:
1 From the Video menu, press B or b to highlight the
Game Mode field, press c and B b to select On, and
press T.
To turn off Game Mode:
Select Off in step 1 above, change the video input, or turn
the TV off and then on again.
Note: You can change the video input by pressing + on the
remote control (-page 36).

I would look at the manuals for the tvs your interested in. and maybe post to avsforums, but I know getting a reply there is tough.
