Hello.
I'm just wondering which hard drive would give me the best performance. My main hard drive is 5400 RPM(40gb) and is just an old IDE hard drive. My secondary hard drive is an external USB drive which is 7200 RPM(500gb). Obviously the 7200RPM is faster but since it's also USB it made me wonder since USB uses up more CPU. I am trying to find out which hard drive would be best to run my games off, specifically Oblivion which i have a fair bit of loading stutters. It is currently installed on the 5400RPM drive.
My pc specs are Athlon64 3000+, 1.5gb ram, ASUS K8N-E motherboard, x1950 pro.
