SAS drive from SATA connector?

i realize this is unlikely but it's unclear from the documentation. Can you connect a 15k SAS drive to a SATA connector and have it work?

No, but you can go the other way around (SATA drive on SAS controller).
You will see that the cables will only connect in that way also. (Cant fit SATA cable on SAS drive, but you can fit a SAS cable on a SATA drive)
