I put together my new pc pretty much same stats as my current one. When I turn it on it says ntldr is missing. Never had this problem before. I am trying to install a vista. How do I fix this? Would a reformat work?
Thanks,
mark

Try reformatting or before that even run a checkdisk scan.
It may be a sign of bad memory off the bat, the installer copied files wrong or something.
Is it overclocked?

The new one is brand new from the box. Everything is stock. Doesn't detect hard drive and says the ntldr is missing. Then tells me to ctrl alt dlt to restart. And it won't boot from the vista oem cd

Need to reinstall or do a windows repair. Just format it and start clean again.

Do the BIOS see the HDD?
Why won't it boot off the CD? Did you check the boot order?
