Im helping a good friend of mine pull some data off of his old Hard drive of a machine that will no longer boot. It was running outlooks express, and the only thing I have found online regarding backing up is if the program is still launchable.. I have access to the hard drive via an external USB enclosure, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions for backing that up easily?

It'll be a older with a bunch of DBX files
Default path is
C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{FE1739A7-2198-4917-8399-7BC614660861<cryptic numbermaybedifferent>}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Browse to that folder...copy it over.
Launch Outlook on the new machine so it creates the directory....close Outlook....browse to that same location on the new computer...and paste that directory right on top of the new one.
