My friend just gave me his old camcorder but I just got the camera and a mini dv, he can't find the other stuff. So i got a firewire cable to connect it to my computer and I cannot get it to work. I tried getting the drivers but it asked for some serial on the cd which I don't have. I tried getting a newer version of sony picture motion browser but I don't know how to make it work. I also have a usb cable so i should have every cable I need, is there something I am probably doing wrong or some software I can use to actually access and edit the video on the tape?
