I just installed new X58 mobo and new WD 1TB hard drive with new install of VIsta 64. Everything has been working fine for a few days. Then last night Vista would not start. Tried to reboot and now get NTLDR missing message. Is there any fix or should I just do a reformat? Im guessing this is a OS problem and not mobo or BIOS?

Boot to the disc and run a repair operation.

Attempting to boot off a non-bootable floppy disk can cause this error. If you don't have a floppy, then the bios might have the hard drive boot order mixed up.

Hrm... Vista doesn't use NTLDR. My guess is you have more than one drive and it's trying to boot off that one. Check your BIOS boot order and make sure it's pointing to the right drive. Your other drive probably has some XP stuff on it.

Run recovery console, from the install disk, there's a tool specifically for damaged/corrupted boot/startup issues.
Also, if you have any hard drives(especially RAID), other then the new one, set as active, Vista does have a quirk where it sometimes places boot files on any active drive available. Fix is just to disconnect any other active disks when installing ( or I presume recovering)-- after install all is well; or should be.

Vista uses BCD/manager, little different. And it comes with a tool to further troubleshoot if you're comfortable in command line, called BCDedit.
