I just got a new Acer X223w and am having some trouble calibrating it. I have never actually attempted to calibrate a monitor before, but when I turned this on for the first time it was bad enough I had to do something. I realize its a cheap monitor, but I am just looking to get the best out of it and make it comparable to my Samsung 205bw I am using as a second monitor. Everything was super washed out compared to the 205bw and the only way I could fix it was turning the gamma way down in the nvidia control panel to 20%. I have left the colors alone so far but the contrast is at 42 and brightness 80. It is a lot better now but the blacks are still a little gray and still just seems not quite there and a little washed out. Any suggestions on how to adjust it or is not going to get any better? Thanks!
