Hey all,

This is an issue that has been plaguing my system for a couple days now but I am unable to find a way to solve it. Every time I work with VMware Player I get a BSOD immediately. I tried uninstalling it so that I can reinstall it (perhaps) however, I got a BSOD doing that. Occasionally I get a BSOD on bootup, but that is pretty rare. My OS is Windows XP. Here are a few details I was able to glean from the memory dump (I still have it on my HD if you guys can help me look through it or if you guys need any more info)

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

disk.sys is the IMAGE_NAME
vmplayer.exe is the PROCESS_NAME

disk.sys screwing up kinda scares me as I want to avoid reinstalling XP if possible. I have a lot of time put in to configuring it just so...

Some other times it BSODed:

Downloading memtest86
Opening my DVD-RW drive
Booting up

These last 3 are not consistent, however they are tasks that happened when it crashed.

Do you think my memory could be faulty?

Are you able to download and run Memtest...even if you use another system to download it?
