Possibly a corrupt POP3 module of your antivirus, try temporarily disabling the e-mail protection component of your antivirus program.

Possibly a corrupt e-mail in your "Outbox"...try to see if there is one, delete if, restart Outlook Express.

Does your OE have lots of e-mails? OE can get wonky once it starts to get a bunch of very large DBX files.

i will check my pop3 of antivirus, my outbox is empty and i delete all of my emails after i read them. unless i save the email, but when i save them. i put them in my documents folder.

thanks for the help, ill let you know how it goes.

thanks again

i disabled my email antivirus and made sure no emails where in OE. i still get the message.
i have no clue why this is happening. any more suggestions would be a big help.
