It has been this price for all of Feb. at MC. They call it the BYOPC (Build Your Own P.C.) month.

I jumped on this about 3 weeks ago.
Went back lastnight and got the PC Power and Cooling 750 Silencer for $109, smoking deal for a 60amp 12volt rail.
Think one 8800GTX uses 9 amps, so you can run 3 of them with this PSU.
Their prices a few years ago were very expensive. Someone, or a group of people at the top of Microcenter really turned the company in a new direction for the better.
Like last night I went in to the store, got the parts I needed and then had a little extra left over on the budget and thought I would get a 3 1/2 memory card reader. They had about 15 different onces, no lie. It's unreal and totally awesome.
Newegg should buy Microcenter or partner with them and really just go crazy, keep the prices good and put Best Buy's over priced PC dept out of business

They extended the Q6600 deal last year.. they will probably do the same for the i7 since they can make money off the expensive mobos and ram.
Wish florida had a Microcenter :(
Hopefully MC or Fry's moves down here once circuit city is done circling the bowl.

It is what it is... I'm waiting for this to be the online price so I don't have to drive anywhere.

Shit. Ordered from buy.com through ebay and it's coming Monday. Is there a big difference in the stepping? How soon would a retailer like buy.com get the D0 stepping?

With everyone getting 3.2 ~ 4.0+ Ghz on high-end air / water I'm not too sure people will be rushing out / waiting to get new stepping.
Who knows.
New stepping is always nice I guess

I read that the new stepping isn't going to be a greater overclocker, more of a lateral stepping move. Not like a Q6600 B3 to a G0. That's why I went ahead and got this one. If I am proven wrong I can always overclock the bejesus out of this chip and if it fries, I have a protection warranty through MC to get me a new one.

Found this about the new D0 stepping: http://www.guru3d.com/news/intel-preps-new-stepping-core-i7-920/
No mention of overclocking.
Also from another article:
On March 2nd, Intel is planning to release a D0 revision of its highly popular Core i7 920 chip, which is currently using the C0 stepping. Enthusiasts need not worry though, as there is literally no difference in specifications of any kind - the difference is only cosmetic.
Basically, the serial number on the chip package will be removed from the ink swatch to reduce a potential risk of the IHS cosmetically overlapping it. There is no change to the ULT matrix content which continues to contain the serial number. In other words, the difference in package design is quite negligible to the consumer
The CPUID number on the D0 stepping will change from 106A4 to 1067A5. However, a BIOS update will be required in order for X58 motherboards to accept the CPUID from both C0 and D0 steppings. Additionally, part numbers for the OEM and retail products have been changed, and the sSpec number has been changed from SLBCH to SLBED.

Well.....its open to speculation.
All im saying is that in the past, new steppings led to better overclocks than old steppings. I'd rather wait a month or a bit more just to get a new stepping. Also, during this wait time there will be many people who will be reviewing this and then I will base my judgement on that.
Here is the official statement released from Intel.

Thanks a lot OP. Was going to get a 940 but this saves me a bunch of money that I can invest in some WC equipment and just OC the balls off the 920.
