Windows 7 Beta install help (can't see harddrive)

After playing around with it in a Virtual Machine, I'd like to install it to a spare 100GB IDE drive I have laying around. Plugging it into my computer, the BIOS sees it just fine, I'm in XP right now and it sees it just fine (did a 100GB NTFS format too on it). Load up Windows 7 install and it can't see it... amazingly it can see my Raid array w/o drivers though.

I tried this during I have windows xp running, and manually booting through the DVD, and neither time does it see my drive. What can I do? What is going on?

Scouring the web, everyone is having problems with Sata drives + Vista install, and people keep on bringing up to install the sata drivers. Useless for me.

I don't see why 7 can't see my drive...

EDIT: When I press "browse" when choosing where to find a driver, my IDE drive does indeed show up there... now why can it not let me install to it?
