OK I need help. I recently purchased an hp dv6000 refurbished laptop. But vista was just getting ridiculously slow compared to my previous xp laptop and macbook. So I decided to install xp. I have an xp install disc so I proceded to install it like I would any other laptop. I downloaded the drivers from the hp website before install and saved to a flash drive.
Well I cant get anything to work. I think I messed up pretty good here. I just dont know what to do now.
my model is dv6809wm, but on the the front, near of my screen it says dv6000. and on teh sticker on the back it says dv6700, but also refurbished dv6809wm. SO I am confuesed. Anyhow I have been googling and searching and trying different drivers adn such but nothing works.
Is there any way or a program that can scan my computer and tell me what video card, wireless lan card, ect are in my laptop so I can find the right drivers.
Also in my device manager, its messed up. I can seem to figure out which one is the wireless lan device.
PLease help.
