Why do you want to disable the Vista 64 Low Level Driver in the first place?

Press F8 at bootup and select Disable Driver Signing.

If you don't want to press F8 all of the time google Ready Driver Plus which will do it for you.

Alternatively you can do something to put it in test mode...forgot precisely...my Vista still says testmode in the corners.

Here's a few of the solutions:

Tried GreenMonkey's solutions and still a no-go. Also tried ATI Tray Tools under windows 7 and I still get the low level driver problem.

Where's all the tech junkies at?

Did you actually try F8 and disable driver signing as I suggested? That absolutely should work for ATi Tray Tools.

You didn't mention you'd already tried it (you do have to do it every time you reboot btw if you don't know). I can't see why that wouldn't work, it's what I do to get it loaded and it never fails.

Bah

It doesn't matter much now, my mindless tweaking successfully f-d my computer up, lol.

No more vista start bar, catalyst drivers wont uninstall or reinstall.

Its ok, a nice Windows 7 Format will suffice I'd say.
