SATA Drive to USB

Hello

I need something that can connect a SATA drive to USB externally so I can backup data to my desktop. I bought a BlacX dock but the problem is, that I have to reformat my drive each time I use it with Vista.

I was wondering if there was something that I can use that can allow it to run without reformat and is plug and play.

You shouldn't have to reformat every time you connect a drive to the BlacX...something's wrong there.

Unless the drive is new and uninitialized, then yes, you'll have to format. But if it's a disk drive that's already formatted and partition, you should be able to see it straight off the bat once you connect the drive to your dock.
