It was like $80 on Newegg last time I checked, buy it at NCIXUS.com:
http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=26526&vpn=RZ01-00170200-R3M1&manufacture=Razer&promoid=1016

Just picked one up myself. Reviews w/ good pictures:

Video that shows the mouse a bit more (I love the glowing logo, to me white looks better and matches the Logitech Illumated white backlight keyboard I have!):

Sorry, I had to let you guys know after getting one myself. There's only about 10 or 11 left, so I'd jump on these fast. These mice are generally ultra expensive, but I heard the comfort of Razer is unmatched. Especially since it's 9 buttons, has amazing driver control and up to 4000 useless Dots Per Inch (for me anyway), AND with a free Razer Goliathus Mousepad, it's definitely a steal.

Go NCIXUS.com!

I like the specs on the mouse but its too damn small for my big palm.

dont have experience with the mouse but i have the copperhead, and you are correct about the comfort and reliabilty. Razer is imo the best mouse on the market

Mouse is longer and flatter than a G5/G7
Has a 'hump' that if you're a palm gamer you'll appreciate, otherwise you wont notice it
huge DPI sensitivity
excellent response times.
Make sure you update to firmware 1.75 to get the most out of it

I have a massive hand, and I've owned one of these. Your palm shouldn't be resting on it really. fingertips on the finger locations and your palm above the rear.

That's good mousing my friend!

Somehow I don't think the color affects gaming too much.

There is no right or wrong way to hold/use a mouse. Razer even outlines three different styles (Palm, Claw, and Finger tips), and I sure some people fall in between some of those styles.

you cant just do that to conclude you wont like it. ofc when you've been using the same mouse for months, any subtle changes will perturb you.
once you've habituated to a better mouse like the lachesis, you will like it so much better than any other mouse.
its essentially a motor learning task, so assuming you havent had any head injuries, you should pick it up in no time.

I'm using my new Lachesis from best buy after replacing my old copperhead. So far it feels very different from the copperhead and my hand is kinda hurting. Hopefully I'll get used to it soon.

Razer mice are still subpar for competitive fps gaming. Check out the pro players for CS, CS:S, they're all using mx518, ms intelimouse 3.0, 518 etc. Also razer mice tend to breakdown faster in the hands of obcessed fps players unlike other mice.

What exactly makes it the better mouse?

It's ambidextrous and overpriced.

mx518 and Deathadder are considered to have the best tracking on the market, so unless you're a lefty there's no reason to get a lachesis.

obviously, if you have a different color mouse than everyone else, you'll do better.

as for me, my Microsoft Intellimouse is used by many office people, so i don't do as good.

I used to use the Razer Copperhead with only my fingertips when I played CS:S. I later started using my entire palm on the mouse due to the fact that aiming was more consistent. But I still find using only my finger tips no matter what mouse it is more comfortable.

If you have a small hand I can imagine putting your palm on the mouse, but the vast majority of mice tend to be too small for my hand. I found that using my fingertips I'm able to whip my shots much faster and with more accuracy.

The only reason I'm using my Diamondback now, is that my Lachesis had an 'encounter' with a tasty cup of coffee. CSS + coffee + Lachesis = trash.

haha I hear ya.. Before I used to try to keep drinks and food away from my computer because one time I was drinking orange juice... and for some reason I totally missed my mouth and it spilled all over the keyboard. I was laughing, and I didn't tell anyone and my mom thought my sister broke the keyboard.

anyway OT post: I don't know anyone personally with Lachesis, but, with Razer mice, alot of the times if you don't install their drivers, at least for some of them mice, the On-the-fly DPI settings don't work. Only with the copperhead I knew it worked if you just plugged it in without the drivers.

Lachesis has 32kb of onboard memory.
Plug it into another computer and your 5 profiles are saved on the mouse, including DPI settings, polling rate, button assignments, etc.
I know from experience (I have one)

Alright guys, this isn't a debate on how much Razer's suck and what intelligent mouse is smarter and whatnot, if you like the deal buy it, if not then don't ;).

The point of the thread isn't to post "I bought it, thanks"
it's to say "yes, thats good" or "no thats not good and here's why"
You're an idiot if you think that the entire thread is just to post if people bought it

If you ever been to profiles of pros on CGS you'd notice, ofcourse the fact that CGS disbanded due to economic pressure does not help my argument. www.gotfrag.com source forums, or esea forums.

in for one. Thx op. Recently got a saitek cyborg but that thing feels sooo awkward so I'm returning it. Also gonna return my wolfking timberwolf keyboard. Can anyone recommend a good gaming keyboard. Or wouldn't a gaming keyboard be just a comfortable one?

Or wouldn't a gaming keyboard be just a comfortable one?No problem! The price actually seems to have dropped by a dollar, but the Best Buy link posted previously for $50 seems the best if it's still active. My NCIXUS order is in the shipping stage, so I should get the mouse in a few days.

As far as gaming goes, if you aren't a die-hard gamer like myself and just need the basic keyboard keys (letters, ctrl, alt, shift, etc.), then just buy something that's comfortable and you should be set :D.

Well I bit, I was somewhat disapointed w/ the shipping of 12.59 for a total of 70.20. I have been needing a new mouse and mouse pad so I grabbed this one, tired of looking around for one as theres several i have been thinking about getting and can't decide between them.

I have one of these, but it sits unused. It's definitely a flick type mouse rather than a palm type mouse. I'm way more comfy with my deathadder.

bought a lachesis, dumped it for intellimouse 3.0 after months of driver headaches and random tracking issues. worst money I ever spent TBH

This will be another debate all in itself. G15 Rev 1 or 2 , i prefered Rev 1 personally, to me these have been the best keyboards i have owned
