90nm but decently warm if you have an old motherboard laying around.
3 year warranty from AMD.

worth it even if all you need is a spare 939/AM2 HSF.

At that price, I would just MacGyver it. I usually do that when fans fail or I don't have a compatible HSF handy for lower end PCs. I have a single pentium 2 fan cooling a geforce 4 ti 4200. Works perfectly. If that fan fails, I have around 20 more of them.

I paid $300 for my X2 939 which is like $30 now (AM2 format).
I'm still trying to find a 754 cpu for like $2-$3, maybe later this year.

I paid $160 for my 3000+ Winchester in May '05. A little over 3 years later, I buy a Q6600 for 180. Moore's "Law" is a cheeky fellow.

Hey quick question... am I missing something or is this deal dead? The price on the page is showing up as $25.99. Oh and I think I paid $150 or so for a 3700+ a long time ago... The thing that is great is the 939 has held it's price better than the AM2.

I get $25.99 too. I currently have an Opteron 165 (sold my 3200) on my Shuttle SN95G5 and have the cold boot bug since I upgraded. Trying to find a replacement

Thanks for checking on this, I am pretty sure it is dead then I guess.
