Don't start this again...it's really getting tiring. This is about XP, not Vista.

Vista is a bloatware.
If Vista is bloatware, I'd hate to imagine what XP would be, since Vista is much better than XP in terms of resource management.
I don't see why people aren't willing to move to Vista when they have to buy a new copy of Windows anyways. If you're going to shell out the cash for a copy of Windows, why not get the superior operating system, Windows Vista, instead of paying the same price for an inferior operating system.
I can understand not feeling the need to upgrade to Vista if you already have a working copy of XP, but to purchase another copy of XP when you can get Vista for roughly the same price, well that's just silly. Unless of course you have some infrastructure that Windows Vista won't fit into nicely, then I suppose it'd be reasonable.

The Vista bashers win again. Aside from people who have mission-critical software that won't run in Vista (even then, virtual machine anyone?) there's really no reason to not upgrade. Vista pre-SP1 was bad, but once SP1 hit the shelves and the drivers, especially x64, which should have been written long before the OS was released by the way, matured everything got better.
No one is saying "OMG Vista is teh perfectz oneoneoneoneon!!!!" This smoke and mirrors about how "Vista sucks" really needs to stop.

Can't XP just die already. Shit, idiots are forgetting that XP was considered the bloatware to windows 2000?

Idiots dredge up info that has no bearing on the topic.

If you're referring to munic, then yes.
If you're referring to Grazehell, the info he brought up DOES have bearing on the topic. People are calling Vista bloatware, and giving it a bad image. As a result, people aren't upgrading to Vista, and XP is still being sold, and things like this end up happening. It's completely relevant to the thread.

And I care about that?
Look at the thread title.

It clearly should be no concern of yours as you dont want to use XP.
You're like one of those that turn up to a party thats playing music you dont like so you trash the place.
Perhaps its better that you dont go to those parties.

Perhaps they're playing their music so loud, it interferes with my party next door.
I don't have an issue with people not wanting to upgrade to Windows Vista. The problem is people who have little/no understanding of Windows Vista calling it bloated, or 'a step backwards'. They've really ruined the reputation of Vista, which is sad considering how great it is.

I see so you do condone that sort of behaviour.
You need to stop feeding your hatred from other peoples issues.
Take that crap to a XP vs Vista thread.

It's directly related to this thread. The only reason the subject at hand happened is because people are apprehensive to upgrade to Vista. Why are people so apprehensive? Because of all the Vista hater's spreading misinformation. If people weren't screaming "Vista sux0rz lulz", people wouldn't have such doubts about Vista, and they wouldn't be asking for system builders/Microsoft to keep providing Windows XP; A product they know works.
And no, I do not condone trashing parties.

And why do they want to use XP? A lot of people who want to use XP, want to do so because they're afraid Vista won't work properly.

What things am I making up, exactly?

The extension isn't a surprise, the amount of FUD on the internet has seen to that. But what does surprise me is the number of people, often who want to run the latest and greatest hardware and have the best PC for the latest games. They go out and spend a truckload on that, and then stick a 7 year old OS on it.

You guys just won't listen will you? A few of you can expect an early Xmas present...watch for it ;)
The next time an Admin tells you to knock it off, you will see the wisdom in doing so.
