An Early Merry Christmas everyone! Currently I'm at my grandparents house and helping them clean up the desktop a bit, and currently we're trying to work on the taskbar icons. They have the AT&T Yahoo browser, and they don't usually use the taskbar button to start it up and use it. We want to go ahead and disable it if possible that way it doesn't contribute to the taskbar clutter. I've searched through the browser options, and I've tried looking in the registry and I can't find anything relating to the taskbar to disable it. They are using Windows Media Center. Any ideas? Thanks again everyone!

Do you mean the quick launch button? Or do you mean it starts up with windows, and the icon in the notification area?

it is something that startups with windows when it first boots up?

If so, try: start > run > msconfig.

go to the startup tab and deselect everything they don't really need to start up at the beginning
