You guys have any video game + drinking game hybrids? :)

Invented one myself this past Friday, pretty simple and awfully fun. Game is called "Rust Lung" and if you've played Gears of War, you have an idea of where I'm going with it... maybe.

Game:
Gears of War 2 (Xbox360)

Drink:
Rust Lung, a shot I invented, is basically Captain Morgan + anything you got. If it were completely up to me, I'd do something nasty like Cap't Morgan and Monster Java, or Sailor Jerry + whatever to keep that orange/brown color. No one would agree to play if we used Monster Java, so we went with orange soda...

Rules:
1. One shot of Rust Lung = Get chainsawed.

2. Two shots of Rust Lung = Get double chainsawed.

3. No shots = if you die by any other means or get chainsawed while downed.

By the end of the game, I had only one shot, which wasn't as nasty as every one else made it out to be. Another guy took about 8 shots, which is only 4 shots of cap't morgan if you take into account the 1/2 and 1/2 portions.

The orange soda made it palatable.. should've been MUCH more harsh with a name like Rust Lung, IMO.

1. Crack beer.
2. Fire up game.
3. Crack beer

Repeat 3

I know what you're asking for, but I just got tired of having to 'lose' to get forced to drink ;)

Tried that with Rock Band and we all just got worse and worse, then eventually grumpy. :)

Just drink plain shots. Mixing drinks is for girls. :)

As the alcohol intake increases, the Rock Band difficulty needs to decrease with it in my experience. Playing a difficulty down becomes so much more bearable when intoxicated!

False.

It was an option, but then we couldn't call a plain shot of cap't morgan "Rust Lung" because... it's just a shot of Capt Morgan. :)

And Long Island Iced Tea is a kick ass girlie drink. owaititsnotforgirls. :p

Wasting a delicious rum such as Sailor Jerry with anything other than cola is a damned waste.

It's my clan's drinking rules. They get adapted for the game that we're focusing on, but we started with Day of Defeat.

There is a problem with drinking and videogames, to drink you need one hand, to videogame you need 2 hands.

We have had great success with "Fuzion Frenzy" on Xbox. Most of those games just take 2 buttons, or 1 joystick to play, one hand has a beer, the other a controller.

well for drinking and video gaming the game I like to play is counter-strike. Every time you die, take a shot. I perfer to use brandy (VS) but rum would probably be fine too. This game would be to get messed up, obviuously, because you can die a lot in an hour.

Another fun game is tetris wars. You and a friend battle it out and whoever loses takes a high life out of the beer bong.

Now just a straight up fun drinking game is caps

I don't understand how CS would work... since you're usually in a room by yourself.

I've never played a drinking game with videogames, but I have tried playing games while drunk. I remember trying to play Gears of War and NHL 07 co-op when completely out of it... that was pretty entertaining.

Drinking Call Of Duty for me...

Every LAN party we have we end up playing this, CoD is a long term fave of ours we just play DM or TDM on maps like carentan, rules are simple, when you kill somoene you have to drink.

Few of us do it with shots, usualy a few swigs of beer or vodka/coke or whatever your posion is. It's good because all the disproportionally skilled players own everyone early on and get pissed in about 30 minutes making it very difficult to play, this normalises the skill so that all the newbs can enjoy the game trying to melee germans in the head who can't figure out how to stop strafing left constantly.

It gives girlfriends and the crap players a chance to join in and actually enjoy it, I dont know why CoD, everyone just seems to love it still.

Turn based games and drinking were made for each other. It's horribly surprising how much of a habit it is to take a swig of whatever is available after hitting that "end turn" button and waiting for others. What's even worse, is that if you're all just sitting around a table, it won't be until you get up to use the bathroom that you'll finally notice just how drunk you are! :D

Aside from that, I'm always a fan of Halo Jeep Jousting. Need two drivers and two passengers riding shot-gun with swords. First jeep to explode, loses, simple eh? Gets more fun the more trashed you get too!

Oh good one. Definitely a fan of Jeep Jousting on Halo 1, haven't tried it with swords!

yeah we did the same when we (GF&I) used to have a roommate. it is indeed a good game for that. short and sweet perfect for the attn span of the drinking collective.

We used to do it with Rock Band and we just got better and better... especially at singing.

Well, in our minds at least. :D
