I donīt generally do this but I really have to get the word out on this. I suspect itīs something that many havenīt even looked at once and it actually is one of the most unique game experience I have had for a long time.

Itīs essentially a simulation in a truly open world. You have a story line but you are free to explore and catagolize the ocean as you wish. You get side missions that you are free to take or not to take. You find treasures, discover underwater caves, abysses etc. Controls are very simple you just steer with the wii remote and socialize with fishes, dolphins, whales etc to get to know them. You can train partners and help them with your dive.

Itīs a wii game but it has amazing graphics. Better then for example Aquanauts Holiday on the playstation 3. Watch Blue Planet and you realize how much research the game developers made on this. You also find them in reasonably realistic habitats and get coral reefs that looks like coral reefes. Lots of details.

Above water it wonīt win any beauty prices but that donīt really hurt this game.
The game really catches the gut feeling you get when diving down into a dark abyss, the first time you spot the sperm whale, play with dolphins, find a ship wreck or just yet another fish be it a simple blue tuna or a giant squid. The game is about nothing and everything at the same time. On first glance it may seem shallow but everything is so streamlined and thought through. Itīs not totally easy to get good photographs require lots of planning and a trained eye.

Are you tired of action game X or just want something to dream away on this is the game for you. And if you think Aquanauts Holiday is endless ocean with better graphics itīs wrong on both accounts. Big disappointment :(

Hopefully not hyping it to much but really I canīt see any real weak points. The fact that I remembered pretty every fish in the blue planet series and I recognized the environments already was mightly impressive.

Maybe it should be you discovery planet freaks should get this ;)

I think we need more undersea games, period. I want my Sub Culture sequel now, dammit.

Sounds like the first game that actually makes me want to get a Wii. Unfortunately, there will have to be more then one.

There is more games. Super mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 even boom blox. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the top games it just that there is so much that is so utterly bad too. But really the best experiences I have had to Wii not the 360 when I had that or the PS 3 I got now. Though uncharted was really nice and Afrika is surely promising :)
