Hey guys. Sorry for the n00b question. I've done a little searching and gave up, can't really find what I'm looking for so thought I'd ask the experts.

In my machine I have two Seagate 7200.10 500gb drives. When I built the machine I was dual-booting because the Vista HP64 didn't like me at first. When it mysteriously started to work, I stopped using the XP system that was installed on the other drive. Now I got a hair and wanted to consider striping them into a RAID0.

I do have a 500gb USB external drive that I can make an image of my system drive with.

My question is, what is the proper method of doing this, then creating the RAID 0, then putting my sytem image onto the array?

I have Shadowprotect for the mirror. Sorry, this is kinda a broad question that I'm sure would be best answered with some good reference links or whatever? Thanks for the guidance in advance.

While I have never attempted this myslef, ( I would just do a clean install and reinstall my apps in the RAID,) from reading other posts, I know you will need to install the RAID drivers for the new RAID before you create your backup image, create the RAID volume, copy the image over, and then it should boot up. Otherwise, when Windows tries to boot, it will not work off of the RAID for lack of drivers.

How do I create the RAID volume? The Vista CD or something? God I'm killing me, I almost want to tell myself to search more.
