Restore to smaller hd?

I have a 250GB, and want to restore to a 150GB vraptor... maybe I should have gotten a 300GB vr to ease things but I didnt... is there any way to restore this way? It seems Paragon was struggling, and DriveImage XML as well as XP Pro backup/restore doesnt allow it at all... there's gotta be a way if my 250GB is only 100GB full of data, no?

I know Ghost Enterprise can, but that is a $$ program. Perhaps one of the free cloning tools can.
