Hi,
Can WHS backup folders from PCs located outside the local network? I.e. i want to back up all my family's important data and they are located all over the world. Possible? Or have to find another solution?

I REALLY want to know this info too so if I'm traveling I can backup.. but I'm afraid it might be a bandwidth issue.
You can upload files with the provided website feature.. that will get some stuff done.

One thing to think of is that in many other parts of the world you pay per bit of internet bandwidth that you use.. Thus making online backup a bad idea.
And really I'd recommend one of the online products like Mozy, Elephant Drive, iBackup etc over a home brew system..

i use hamachi VPN to make a virtual network and i backup my inlaws PC to our WHS over cable internet.
I did the first backup locally and only do incremental backups of the C drive via hamachi.
hamachi is a really nice program
