Any problems mixing these ? Software Raid10 (64 bit linux - mdadm)

Also: Props to WD. They ADVANCED replaced 2 smart-failing RE2 500G's with Brand spanking new RE3 500G's. I also have some seagate drives I've been due to return and they will not do advance replace w/o a $20 fee (boo seagate!).

I doubt linux will have a problem with the drives mixing, I've seen some very wierd arrays work just fine (Seagates mixed with WD drives for example).
Even though I hate WD's lack of advancement/innovation, the one benefit to being the dinosaur is that they're the only company that will still do free AR's.

No innovation ?
* RE3's RE2's have special raid features (don't remember the names off the top of my head)
* velocirappers

Both brand new drives (smartmontools shows power on hours at 0 when I installed them) have BAD BLOCKS.

One had ~ 200 bad blocks (100KB) the other one had 1800 (950KB).

I guess these are going back as well :(
