I want to get a little speed more on my disk drives, and plan to put 750gb versions of Samsung F1 raid (since I already got one of those disks and it's going nice)
Can't however find in the net is the Raid 0 build on 4 disk array faster then 2 disk array.
Or should I go raid 5 with 4 disk array?

is your goal storage or speed? what controller are you gonna use, or are you gonna use software raid? raid5 not going to be nearly as fast as a raid0 stripe.

Speed :) and I'll either be using onboard Gigabyte or Jmicron controller from x58 UD5 board

If you want data reliability, raid 5 is the way.. but not with a software based controller. Pure speed.. raid 0 with 4 drives will be faster than 2 drives in synthetic benchmarks, only noticeable in real world usage if you're transferring large files to and from a similarly fast setup.

Thx :) I'll stay then with 2x750 F1s... and keeping backup of the important files on my old 320 seagate, just in case of something going baaad :D
