Hiya guys n girls, just joined the forums so thought i'd stick my current build log on here as well. :)

This is a build i'm working on at the moment, it's an mATX case, Lian Li V300 and i'm gonna fill it with WC as well! :D

Case Modding

Got the case out and had a look how to fit the cooling inside it.
Going to put a Black Ice Stealth 240mm radiator in the front after i've modded the fans to 120mm instead of those 80mm's.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w292/marcus000/V300/03.jpg

First problem I can see is the 2 external 3.5" drive bays.
They're going to fowl on any radiator I try to fit in there so i'm gonna have to zip those off.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w292/marcus000/V300/05.jpg

Cut a piece of aluminum to size which will fasten the bottom of the 5.25" drives together after i've cut out the 3.5" bays.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w292/marcus000/V300/07.jpg

Also cut another piece to size, once i've finished with this it'll accept 120mm fans instead of the tiny 80mm fans.
Got this idea from another V300 build I found on the net.

http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w292/marcus000/V300/06.jpg

I've started looking at pump mounting, the Xirex Res top is about 15mm too tall thats that idea down the pan.

Currently looking at mounting an EK 150ml reservoir somewhere and using a normal DDC top instead.

----------------------------------------------

I went out and bought a new pack of Dremel Cut-off Wheels because I couldn't get at the drive bays with a jigsaw.
I've cut the 3.5" bays off the bottom of the 5.25" bays in order to allow me to fit the radiator in the front of the case.

Nice... I'm gonna follow this build... the first one, I've found, using a V300 together with watercooling.
I'm still wondering if I should skip my NZXT Rouge and go with a V350

Thanks for dropping in and leaving comments guys! :D

Wow! Those are some amazing pictures you took.
Can I ask what camera your using?

Camera is only a Fujifilm Finepix S602Z, it's about 5/6 years old and only 6mp but with the right lighing conditions it can take some decent shots.

Keep meaning to save up to buy a new one but I always find other stuff to spend it on instead. :p

I got some more bits and pieces done yesterday, nothing major but every little helps I guess....

I just got the drive bays back from the powder coaters yesterday morning, perfect! :D

I gave them the mobo tray and a few other bits and pieces whilst I was there as well, should have those back on Friday! :D

Also, whilst I was doing some cable braiding last night I decided to grab my fans and braid them blue, not sure if I like the blue braid yet though, i'm thinking they would look better done in some thicker black braid?

yea, if you had blue braid that matched the fin color, that would be sweet. But if that's the only blue braid you can get, i'd go with the black braid.

I've just spent the last hour or so doing all the CAD drawings for the new side panels and the rear panel and have just e-mailed them over to the laser cutters now.

Anyway, let me know what you think, i'm aiming to make the sides look pretty factory finished and the rear plate is just a finishing touch so to speak.

Bugger knows when the next update will be, waiting on my side panels and the rear plate to be done. :(

EDIT: those last two pics need to be moved over to the right by 1 pixel... that'll teach me for doing stuff whilst i'm tired! :p
