Hey guys,

My rams is factory set at 5-5-5-18. I went into my bios and set the timing to 4-4-412 also bumping the voltage to 2.1v. I checked out cpuid and it shows different values under each tabs. Under memory tab i have the new timing under the SPD tab I have the stock timing. Which is which? I did set my timing correctly?

The Memory tab tells you what it's actually running at. The SPD tab reads the SPD data off of the memory, which is basically just a list of the speeds and timings that the RAM is rated at. This is used by motherboards to automatically pick the right timings and speed for memory, so if you set the timings to auto in the BIOS, it would revert to the settings listed in the SPD data.

Thanks for the info. Guess I made the correct timing in bios because i wanted 4-4-4-12. Guess the next step is to run memtest 86 overnight to make sure there's no errors.
