Sorry if this is not the best place for this question.
I'm using Outlook Express. What does it mean when someone says they cant send me e-mail because, "your ISP is blocking mail from my ISP so I had to use a different, seldome used account to e-mail you"...? How do I stop my ISP from blocking theirs? Thanks
Mike
Doesn't sound line and Outlook Express problem to me.
Maybe your ISP has a Spam filter blocking the emails. I log in to my Verizon web mail to check or such issues every week but never had a problem with it drooping anything important.
Some more details about your problem might help find the solution. Like what ISP do you use and what ISP is your friend on who can't email you?

Hi TGA, thanks for the help.
My ISP is 'att.net', his is 'optusnet.com.au'. Should I be contacting att then?

It sounds like he's saying that your ISP is blocking his domain. You should be able to verify this quickly with your ISP. Another possibility, is he typed your e-mail address in wrong, and it bounced back, so he assumed your ISP was blocking it. If it turns out that your ISP is blocking it, you aren't going to get them to stop blocking it.

Hard to answer without a more accurate verbiage of the actual error.

Oops, prolly a good idea. I left off the name (****) of the other user. Here is the message sent to me. Thanks
'Your ISP att.net is blocking mail from ****'s ISP (2nd largest ISP in Australia) so I'm using a gmail account to get this important reply to you. Please, when or if you reply, could you please ensure you send to *****.optusnet.com.au as I rarely use this gmail account. As our corrspondence is of some import do you have an alternate ISP (email address) that we can use?'

Would adding an additional mail account noting the senders server (optusnet.com.au) work?
