I installed UltraVNC viewer on my Vista machine (32 bit notebook).

So I hit Windows Key, and type "V" and then when I hit "N", Explorer, exe crashes.
Every single time.

I can search for "ultra" or anything else, seems to work.

Try to narrow it down to a specific file/shortcut/icon that causes the crash (if that is it). Use different search combinations that relate to UltraVNC/VNC/etc.

Try rebuilding the search index (control panel>indexing options.)

It's only VN that causes it. I can search for anything else just fine.

It's not the shortcut itself- it's fine if I get to it via typing "Ultra" for example.

Not reproducible by anyone else? May try rebooting to see if something just got screwed up, but being it's reproducible for me right now it's odd.

Can't reproduce here. I run UltraVNC and Vista (x64). I can do anything without explorer.exe crashing. I've tried the search using VNC and no crashes.

A reboot seems to have resolved it, I guess it was a temporary glitch. Why that letter combination was crashing Explorer I have no idea.
