My ViewSonic VX922 Started to exhibiting the symptoms of what I had found to be a very well known bug, the screen would go black and the power button would start flashing.

So I called ViewSonic Tech support, they agreed to repair the monitor free of charge. I was given an RMA and was told there would be a 19 day turnaround. Around the 30th day I decided to see what was up with the RMA, customer service told me the monitor was not repairable and they would send me a new monitor. I throught wow, what great customer service they had.

In about a week the monitor shipped, what I received was not a new monitor, it wasn't even the same model (VX922) which is a 19 inch full sceen monitor. What they did sent me was a old refurbished VX1932WM 19inch widescreen which when turn on had a verticle line of pixels stuck on position two thirds into the width of the screen, ghosting like you could not imaged and color banding, the worst I have ever seen. What was more troubling is when I did a search on this model it had a very troubled past.

Back on the phone with customer service, ViewSonic appologized, sent me a return label, and when they received the flawed VX1932WM they would send out a replacement, I asked them to send me a Full screen monitor, they said they could not quarantee, but would take any notes I would like to give and forward them to the fullfillment center. I also suggested that they send me a monitor equal value and quality to the original VX922, they said they would do there best.

I find this very disturbing, has anyone else had any problems with ViewSonics Customer Service? I would love to hear any similar stories good or bad.

I will keep you posted on the outcome.

Since the issue with the VX922 and now after doing the research on the faulty replacement they sent I now know the same. I originally purchased it from NewEgg, but NewEgg isn't the problem here. ViewSonic had somewhat of a good rep as far as CRTs are concerned so WTF happend?

I dropped off the faulty unit they send me as a replacement for the VX922 at FedEx This morning. I can't imagine what they are gonna send me this time.

Hi, I just received my 2nd replacement for my VX922 and I'm happy to say that ViewSonics has done me a solid, they sent me what I had requested a full screen VP950B which is on par with the performance and features of the VX922, I'll be putting it through some tests and calibration tonight. Thanks ViewSonic for comming through for me. My Birds are alive and singing again.

I started having the same issue about 3-4 weeks ago. I'm debating on whether or not I want to send it in. Did you have to foot the bill for shipping to their RMA department? I have another 6 months on my warranty and only a 15" CRT, that's probably 12 years old, as a backup.
