Cant you download 720P bluray movies off of torrents and burn them to Dl disk and watch them on a Hd-dvd player?.

...that would be illegal unless you already owned the BluRay movie, which you certainly don't if you're doing that. So this isn't the place to discuss that sort of thing, and is actually grounds for banning. Also, cost of blank discs is so high that you'd hardly save money anyway.

Doesn't seem like any new movies are coming out for it. Not many people will want to buy the drives if no more movies are coming out for it
and a pirates dream machine is basically a computer. Already does almost everything you want.

Not the point, i mean ripping bluray movies and burning the image onto HD-dvd disks.
HD-DVD players cost much less than bluray. So doing this method would save you the cost of having to buy a bluray player.

Why even bother with that?
You can just output the PC video directly to your display
Save money on the HD DVD player. Save money on the discs.

and its not as simple as ripping a bluray and writing it to a HD DVD disc
It would have to be converted so that it could be read by the HD DVD player
Thats why they are considered useless and sell for so little

He's pretending not to know the difference between HD video & HD-DVD. Move along.
