I just installed Windows after a fresh format. I have a 1TB storage drive with movies, pictures, etc on it that I want to add back to my computer. It is detected in BIOS and under Device Manager too, also in Computer Management under disk management. However, under Disk Management it says the drive is "unreadable". It is a dynamic disk it says.

How can I add this storage drive back to my computer to gain access to it and avoid formatting it and losing all my information? Thank you!

Go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk management. Your drive will show in the right pane beneath your system drive. Right click it and you should have an option to 'import this disk'. That will allow you to give it a drive letter, etc...

thanks chris, I just tried that but my only options are "Convert to basic disc" which will format the drive first and Properties.

Any other advice?
