So i just bought a couple of these drives... One for my C: and one to put data on.

It seems that this drive is slower then my old setup with my old school raptors striped? Am i just going crazy here or something?:confused::confused:

Windows startup and game load times seemed to be faster on the raptors but im not 100% sure as ive never done any testing. Any ideas?

Saying it "seems" slower doesn't mean anything. You'd need to run actual tests to get concrete figures and statistics to know for sure. Hell, I can get an old 386 laptop running Windows 3.11 that'll seem like it can run circles around newer hardware because the visual impression is the snappy and very responsive GUI. But until you do some hard testing with HDTach/HDTune or some other benchmarking software for hard drive performance and get numbers you can see and compare, then it "seems" like you'll remain just guessing...

The access times on the raptor will make booting and daily operations feel faster, while moving large files will win on the WD6400aks.
