Was just wondering as I have 2 units and wanted to know if there was a difference. The 20gb model is a hdmi version. Also with the 20gb unit it makes a noise when reading the disc's. I was wondering since I just got it should I exchange it??

The older xboxes were like 205-210 watt and had a 2 finger release where it connected to the xbox. The newer ones are 175watt power supplies and dont have the 2 finger release where it plugs in the xbox. If i remember correctly. Correct me if i am wrong.

I think bufodr is right. When I had a Pro system, I tried using the power supply from an Elite system on my Pro. We found there was a tab in the center of one of the connection that wouldn't allow the connect.

It has nothing to do with what model you get. Has to do with when they were made. Old models required more power/a strong power supply.

All xbox360 models are manufactured the same at a given time.

I have an Elite. It has the adapter with the two buttons and shows as 203 watts.

The A/C Cable side is two-prong.
