These are really cool. I am listening to some Physical Graffiti on mine now. They are really small, wife friendly and decent sounding regardless of where you sit in the room or house for that matter. Not the OMG be all end all for speakers but for $29???? Best speaker deal I have ever seen. Better than the Insignia deal EXCEPT!!! that you MUST use a subwoofer with these for best results.
Remember that I love you all!

I remember these actually didn't get horrible press when they were released. The FR graph looks really, really bad though (gonna sound boomy).

I am using them with the Sherwood 6500 and a TAD 12" sub. Not at all boomy really. Probably the sub that came with them? Dunno. My sub does a good job disappearing. Midrange is not great but voices are clear enough. Again, the omnipolar design does a cool trick with the sound. A definite upgrade for those wanting to beef up from crappy HTIB or PC speakers but not really anything more than that. I am ok with them. Missing the HELL out of my Rocket 550s and Polk SRS 2s though. Sigh. Going to be awhile until I can rock out properly.

Glad you like them, your description of how they sound more or less confirms what i thought.
Hey spaceman, have you considered some DIY speaker projects (http://www.zaphaudio.com/) yet, speakers or subwoofers that is?

See, this is why I need a garage and several thousand dollars worth of power tools.
DIY speakers can be some of the best stuff out there - if you know what you're doing.
