HP media vault drive swap

Just got a smoking deal for the media vault 2010. It has the 300gb drive in it. Has anyone successfully swapped it out with a 1 TB drive? I was planning on putting in my new Samsung and adding another to get it to use Raid 1. Is it as simple as swapping the drive and running the HP restore CD?
