was about to completely thread crap (or inform people of my misfortunes with the Pearl series).. but this is NOT the pearl series.

I bought this specific monitor for my girlfriend about 3 months ago. It is still running strong with no dead pixels. It's an MPVA panel (I think) but certainly not TN. UNLESS you get the old switcharoo and they replace it with the 2ms version of the exact same monitor. That is a TN. This monitor.. if you get the 5ms version.. is incredible, especially for the price.

I bought a refurbed Topaz. Works like a charm, and non-TN.

If you buy in store.. there is a good possibility you will still find the 6ms ones. I went into an Officemax to see if they would price match their previous sale of the 24" for 269 and they had 6ms ones. Irving TX

EDIT: This was a month to a month and a half ago.
