I have a clients computer which has yellow exclamation marks on ALOT of the devices in device manager. She says she tried installing an ATT wireless card in her laptop and thats when it happened.
The odd thing is the things that do not work are the processor drivers and MANY of the chipset drivers. The laptop will not go load the video drivers also (onboard intel) but boots fine in safe mode. I did reinstall the video drivers but the same damn thing happens.
Runs Vista 32 SP1 and a Intel 965 chipset which intel has no drivers for vista for.
Any ideas? Other then reinstalling windows I am at a loss. Weirdest problem I have ever seen.

Can you roll back to before the ATT wireless install? There should be a restore point available.

Already tried that with no luck.

Sounds like the Intel chipset drivers need to be reinstalled.

Re-installed windows with the same results. Tried installing the chipset drivers too and also the manufacturers drivers with same results. Very very confused.

Was that a clean or repair install?

Do the devices with exclamation marks say no driver is installed or that there is another problem?

Are there any bios updates available?

Delete the devices with exclamation points from Device Manager and allow the computer to recognize them again.

Already tried that a couple times.
There are also no bios updates.

Ok, btw, what kind of computer is this? Is it a pre-built or a custom? Reason being, it might need a proprietary INF driver for the chipset. I did a client's computer about a month ago (laptop), and I tried the regular Intel INF driver to no avail. I had to get it directly from HP's download page for the laptop (was an HP DV6000 series).
First verify that you are indeed getting the right drivers for the right chipset, then try downloading and installing the drivers directly from the manufacturer.
