Vista Ultimate 64/ITunes

I have a dual boot Vista 64 Ultimate/XP Pro machine with Itunes installed on both OS versions. If I try to burn a playlist in Vista 64, a few seconds into the burn, the Plextor 716SA stops burning, giving me a coaster. I've reinstalled Vista with the same result. If I run XP, it burns without a problem. The SATA is running as AHCI.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? I thought about swapping out the DVD drive, but is it worth the trouble? Obviously, the drive works. It will even burn a full disc in Vista if I use Windows Media Player.

You have the latest itunes? Apple resolved that issue in later builds. The problem was it wasen't including the gears driver for burning.

Thanks. I had tried that from my previous 'googling' with no success. It was something with Vista and the Plextor drive. I put in a spare drive from work to test and now, it works fine. I'll just put another burner in it.
