Sorry for my first post asking for technical help, I hope that isn't frowned upon too much here. Anyways, let me get to my problem.

I'm currently dual booting Vista and XP (XP was installed first, I completely formatted my HDD, then put on XP, then Vista.) This has been running smoothly for a couple months. Now, all of the sudden my computer freezes when playing Team Fortress 2. I couldn't get into task manager or minimize, or do anything at all. Instead I heard the same loop of an explosion for about 10 minutes until I finally rebooted. After I started the reboot, I got a "disk read error, press ctrl+alt+delete" to reboot. I had to take out my Cmos battery in order to get it working again. Once I was booted back up (Always in Vista) I noticed I couldn't click anything in my taskbar, I opened taskmanager and ended then started back up explorer.exe. Everything seemed to be working fine, then all of the sudden when opening fire fox through my start menu, things started acting up again. The start menu froze, I couldn't get into task manager yet again, fire fox never loaded. If I opened up a new messenger window it wouldn't show up in the task bar. I couldn't click anything on the desktop either. So yet again, I had to reboot. Things seemed to be running fine for a few hours, but after plaing around in a game (ZombieMaster a game on steam running the source engine) my computer froze yet again. I was unable to go into the taskmanager yet again, or minimize. Just the same loop of annoying sounds. Then all of the sudden my computer gave me a blue screen error with the heading "Kernal_Data_Inpage_Error" (That's all I remember) I once again had the disk read error at the reboot too.

So I guess my questions are; should I be worried? What do you think is causing the problem? Should I wait it out and see if it continues to happen? Thank you for the comments, I'll keep you guys updated if I crash again!

(Few extra notes)
I found no viruses/trojans/adware/spyware on my computer with. I ran ad-aware, avg, avast!, spybot, and avg.
Also, I'm using the 64 bit version of Vista

Bump with more problems.

As I was sleeping last night, there was a power outage so I had to boot my computer up when I woke up. I signed in, let everything load, and then went afk for about 30 minutes. When I came back I had yet another blue screen error. I THINK it just said "Windows has encountered a serious error and has been shut down" no "Kernel_Data_inpage_error" or any of that this time. However, when I booted back into Vista it told me 4 times that my registry was messed up and that I would need to enter the disc and repair it, so I tried. I only got far enough to get yet another error "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of windows." (I assume this is because of the XP/Vista dual boot?) After trying to repair it a couple times, and still getting the same error I decided to just boot into XP, but that didn't even work. I selected XP at the start-up screen, it began to load, then my computer just restarted. Once it was restarted, I booted into Vista this time and it worked! No errors or problems at all. The fact that it wouldn't boot into XP though, still worries me, and that I've been getting all these errors in the first place.

Again, any tips or help would be really appreciated. I'd like to know why my computer is being so odd lately.
