I currently have 3 750GB drives in RAID 5 on a PERC 5/i. The array is starting to fill up, so its time to test out the Online Capacity Expansion option on the PERC.
As those of you have seen the PERC BIOS will know its not the easiest program to get around in. I read the Dell Manual for the board, and while it says it will do OCE it does not go into any other details. I have the LSI management software installed if that helps. I did not see an option to expand the array there either but I may be missing it.
Has anyone ever expanded an existing array on a PERC 5? I know I am going to have to resize partitions in Windows, I really just need to know the steps to grow the array on the PERC.
