Is this the lowest price for 1TB as of right now?
At 6 1/4 CENTS per GIG this is very tempting!

Actually, it's $.16/GB.... P7K500s are cheaper per gig at eWiz.

The only difference in cost is shipping. Ewiz give you free shipping and MicroCenter charges you $6.98 and offers in-store pickup if you have one in your area... For $6.98 difference I would take WD over Hitachi any day. Especially 1 WD vs 2 Hitachi if you are looking for 1TB.

I like hitachi, but I miss the days when they offered 5 year warranty... now it's just Seagate and WD raptors :(

$65/500GB = $.13/GB. And I'm not a huge WD fan, and the GPs aren't the fastest drives on the block. (Actually, they are worse than Seagate which is saying a lot)

They are showing as $79 for me when I checked it. The GPs are designed for a different market than those looking for the most speed possible though. I agree they arent speedy but people that are looking for them are probably not looking for the fast drive available.

Damn, they've gone up, then. I knew I should have ordered the 4 I had. I wonder if they will still be the same price as in my cart. Probably not....

I hate when that happens... I missed out on the MS/Ebay 35% cashback deal the other day because I waited to long to decide on what I wanted to buy.

I got in with 1 of those orders but I had planned to do 3 :/ Oh well, better than nothing. Sucks.
