First overclock here, using a q6600. I've already turned off c1e, speedstep, setting pci-e freq. to 100, etc.

I have it set to 9x333 and the memory is running at 2.0 so 667mhz and 5-5-5-15.
A short prime95 run gave no errors.

Now for the CPU voltage it's set to 'Normal' and I'm guessing I should manually set this for best results, so where do i start? with my vid of 1.25 for voltage?

I'm confused with core voltage, looking at cpu-z the idle core voltage reads 1.200v and when I'm running prime95 it drops to 1.8~, I would think it would increase when stressed

It's supposed to decrease.

I have set at 1.45
Idle at 1.4xx
And load at 1.392

At least you don't have a batch Q8XXxXXX with 1.325 VID

@op - my old q6600 ran 9x333 @ 1.2625Vcc. Have a look at my stress testing and stability guide (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1302816). It is a subset of my overclocking sticky (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1198647) that you might wanna read too.
