I recently recovered my "Personal Backup" files from an unexpected HD problem and I'm left a little paranoid from losing data. Now I'm looking to get a NAS system for my personal backups that support RAID 1 since I would like to keep my backups mirrored all the time. I came across the D-Link DNS-323 2-Bay Network Storage Enclosure and I'm about to buy it but I was reading some of the customer reviews and someone commented "If a drive fails, controller does not rebuild it on it's own" I definitely need something that can certainly rebuild a RAID 1 when it fails. So can anyone that owns one of these D-link DNS 323 confirm that this is true ? I been looking for other options but can't really find much... anyone has suggestions or other opinions for Raid 1 NAS solutions? Thank you in advance.
