I am having problems with Windows Image Gallery application since last week. First it just crached when I tried to open an image, and now it says I have insufficient memory to open the image. Other applications, such as FastStone Image Viewer, Office Image Editing application, etc. have no problem opening/editing images.

I have all the latest updates installed.

I am about to switch back to XP Pro x64. Any suggestions before that is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Oh.. one more problem: Sometimes the antivirus wouldn't start (I have to manually start the On Access/real time scanner). This happened to both Avira and Sophos.

Which machine are you running Vista x64 on? I can't tell from your sig. I would venture to guess machine 1. If so, how do you have your Virtual Memory set up? It may be that you really don't have enough memory. Vista is a bit of a resource hog and 2GB on Vista x64 may not be enough.

None of them. Here is the machine:

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Asus M2N-E (nForce 570 Ultra)
Gigabyte Radeon X800 XL
3GB DDR2 800 RAM (2 x 512MB + 2 x 1GB)
80GB SATA-II (boot)
250GB SATA-II

BTW: I switched back to XP x64. I was wasting too much time to "fix" this and that with Vista x64, instead of actually using the machine. It was too much.
