acronis disk director cant resize my C drive

my OS partition is 20 gb and only has 3 gigs free and i want to upgrade to SP1 of Vista which requires 4gb.....

should i try partition magic? or something else?

just do it within disk administrator, with vista you can shrink / grow your partition at will providing you have the space :D

You need to first unallocate 4gb of space located immediately after the C partition in order to resize it 4GB larger. Which normally means you need to shrink the D partition by 4GB before you can increase the C partition by 4GB (this will leave you with 4GB of unformated space after the C partition so that you can resize it).

And if you already knew all that, then make sure your version of disk director is vista compatable, I think some early versions of 10 were not vista compatable.
