esata to sata

I am asking will the internal esata port on a Asus P5K mobo work to attach an internal hard drive i have 5 sata devices and need the 5th port and need to know will it work for a sata drive internally with an esata cable to sata cable. Thanks for any info.

yes it will. It has no idea if the drive attached to it is external or not.

Thanks for the info other sites are saying that it will need a card cxontroller
