So this girl I'm dating calls me up. She always wants to see me but I'm frequently busy or tired and don't want to bother. So, I'm not that inclined to come over, but she says she bought a cupcake from this local cupcake store (seriously....they are amazing: http://www.gigiscupcakesusa.com/) for me. So I figure....hmmm, free chocolate. Worth my trip.
I head over and we watch some tv, fool around, and talk for a while. It comes time for me to go and she says, "Oh my God! I totally forgot your cupcakes at work! I'm so sorry!"
So, without hesitation, I look up at her dejected and say, "You mean......the cupcake is a lie....."

After using TiVo for a while I started getting pissed that I couldn't pause and rewind the radio in the car.
And sometimes, I get jedi-mind-tricked for just a split second as to why I can't just reload from a save point if I forgot something and have to drive back someplace I had already been.

Damn I need to hurry up and play Portal. I got the free nvidia demo a couple months back, played the hell out of it, promptly bought the Orange Box (was planning to for Episode Two anyway), and then that horrible thing called Real Life (tm) got busy and I just haven't had a chance to play much of anything. In fact I haven't finished Episode Two yet. Pity me! :p
Oh and wildfire, you're not alone on the TiVo Radio thing either... I can't believe they don't come up with something like that already. In fact in this day and age it should be commonplace. Stereo audio doesn't take up much data, why the hell don't they make a head unit with say 64MB of onboard memory? That would be enough to 'rewind' like an hour's worth of stereo audio compressed in typical MP3 fashion. Uh oh, better stop here before I threadjack... :D

Ever played Portal? GLADoS, the ever-taunting computer brain in Portal promises you deliciously yummy cake at several points in the game. However at the end you discover that the cake..... <sniff>.... the cake is a LIE! :(

I have that Sirius receiver and it does let you pause, rewind, and save anything you want. Even organizes it all for you since the information is embedded into the music. It's kinda awesome. Except I never listen to Sirius except for Patriots games.

People, what the hell is the point of putting tons of space on top of your post for a spoiler... and then not putting any space UNDERNEATH the spoiler?
This isn't email! This is a discussion board! There's going to be posts UNDERNEATH your spoiler!
That is all. :p

I thougght about that, but if I had done it I probably would have got banned for making an obtrusive post. The mods don't like lots of whitespace in posts... but I'll see if I can improve upon my post for you. We need to petition to get Kyle to add SPOILER vbcode tags to his vbulletin installation. There are several awesome and easy to install vbulletin plugins that accomplish this really seamlessly. :)

This thread inspired me to finally play through Portal. Took me just over 4 hours and I had a blast!
I think GLADoS might just be the best game boss ever. :D
I just wish the game was longer, but then again what can you expect from something that was supposed to be basically a bonus freebie with HL2:EP2? You can bet your ass they are working on a sequel/expansion pack. :)
