Going to get Audioengine A2s - any reason I shouldn't?

I have read tons and am trying to find a 2.0/2.1 setup for my desktop for music/movies/gaming/etc.

The Audioengine A2s seem a good compromise between size, quality, bass, etc.

Is there any reason I shouldn't get them? Will having powered monitors restrict me in the future if I decide to get a sub and other gear?

what's the best place to buy them?

The Audio Engine 5's have a subwoofer out port that allows you to connect a subwoofer via an RCA cable.

I'm not sure if the Audio Engine 2's do.
